Lehman Center for the Performing Arts presents the return of the PUERTO RICAN MASTERS with director Isidro Infante, featuring three legends of salsa: Ismael Rivera Jr., Pedro Brull and Jose Mangual Jr., joined on stage by Hector Tricoche and Viti Ruiz of the new generation of salsa with a special appearance by Yolanda Rivera on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at 8pm.

Nearly 900 graduates from 68 countries received degrees today at Berklee's 2016 commencement. Berklee President Roger H. Brown presented honorary doctor of music degrees to music legends Rita Moreno, the Isley Brothers, Lucian Grainge, and Milton Nascimento. Moreno delivered the commencement address to the graduating class and an estimated audience of nearly 7,000 guests at the Agganis Arena. The annual commencement concert, held the previous evening at the Agganis Arena, featured some of the college's most accomplished students paying tribute to the honorees with performances of music associated with their careers.

Brown will present Rita Moreno, Ronald and Ernie Isley, Lucian Grainge, and Milton Nascimento with honorary doctor of music degrees at Berklee's commencement ceremony, Saturday, May 7, at the 7,000-seat Agganis Arena at Boston University. The Apollo Theater and Opera Philadelphia announced today that Charlie Parker's YARDBIRD will have its New York premiere in a co-production between the two institutions, April 1 and 3, 2016. The engagement marks the first time opera will be performed on the Apollo Theater stage, and the first time Opera Philadelphia will play New York.
