What was once a major disadvantage is now a major advantage.

Casting has been announced for the Fort Lauderdale engagement of Disney's NEWSIES. The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, November 17 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 29, 2015.

The musical plays at the Bristol Hippodrome from Thursday 29 October, before flying on to Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Southampton, Norwich, Plymouth and Newcastle throughout 2015/16.

THE LION KING will be featured on the hit CBS drama, CODE BLACK, starring Marcia Gay Harden, in an episode to air Wednesday, Nov. 25 (10:00 - 11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The episode features Alton Fitzgerald White, who played a record-breaking 4,000 performances as 'Mufasa' in The Lion King, as well as eight members of The Lion King North American Tour. The Providence premiere of Disney's NEWSIES opens tonight, October 20, at 7P at the Providence Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 25.

Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie and the gang will experience a 'whole new world' when they travel across the ocean next year! BroadwayWorld has just learned that Disney's Tony Award-winning new musical Aladdin will kick off its West End premiere on Thursday June 9, 2016 at the Prince Edward Theatre, with previews from Friday, May 27. Broadway cast member Trevor Dion Nicholas will also be making his London stage debut as Genie.
