Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway Across America announced that tickets for the highly anticipated Fort Lauderdale engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public today, September 25 at 10:00am.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Serino/Coyne, the nation's leading live-entertainment marketing agency, today announced that Angelo Desimini, currently chief operating officer, will assume the role of CEO, effective immediately. Nancy Coyne, founder and current CEO, will become chairman. Greg Corradetti continues as president of the firm. This planned transition builds on the 15-year working relationship between the leaders.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway Across America announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Fort Lauderdale engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Friday, September 25 at 10:00am.  The Tony® Award-winning production will begin performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, November 17 for a limited engagement of two weeks through Sunday, November 29.

Disney Theatrical Productions and The Orpheum Theatre announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Memphis engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public today, September 11 at 10:00 AM.  The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, December 8 for a limited engagement of eight performances through Sunday, December 13.   

The San Jose return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, September 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for the Performing Arts for a limited four-week engagement through Sunday, October 4. In San Jose, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.; Friday evenings at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 1 and 6:30 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Thursday, September 17 at 1 p.m.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that individual tickets for Disney's THE LION KING go on sale to the public today, September 10. This exclusive seven-week return engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) begins December 2, 2015 and plays through January 17, 2016.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway In Detroit announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Detroit engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Sunday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available for purchase at all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at 1-800-982-2787, online at www.broadwayindetroit.com or www.ticketmaster.com.  Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Detroit Opera House and Fisher Theatre box offices starting at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 21. The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Detroit Opera House on Tuesday, December 15 for a limited holiday season engagement of two weeks through Sunday, December 27.   

Disney Theatrical Productions announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated New Orleans engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Saenger Theatre on Tuesday, Dec. 1, for a limited engagement of one week through Sunday, Dec. 6, as part of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2015 - 2016 season.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts continues with its second year of participation in Disney Musicals in Schools, having recently selected four Orange County public elementary schools to embark in the 2015 program.

On August 24, 2014, NEWISES closed on Broadway. Exactly one year later, cast members from the hit Broadway musical came together on the stage of 54 Below to reminisce. In the lineup were songs of various music styles, stories and memories of their time with the show. Below, watch as Andrew Keenan-Bolger, the original Crutchie, performs 'Letter from the Refuge'- a song that wasn't added to the show until the launch of the national tour.
