The new Broadway production of the Tony Award winning play The Heiress began previews on October 6th. Though Hurricane Sandy caused many Broadway closures over the past several days, the show will open tomorrow night as scheduled.

FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando presents the national tour of the Broadway musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by the electrifying true story. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will play the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre from tonight, October 30-November 4. Ticket prices range from $41 to $78 and are available online at www.OrlandoBroadway.com.

Due to the effects from Hurricane Sandy, the Tuesday and Wednesday performances of Anything Goes at the DuPont Theatre have been canceled. Performances scheduled Nov. 1-4 will go on as originally scheduled. A Sunday evening performance will also be added. This performance will be made available for sale on Wednesday.

Mark Blum has joined the cast of The New Group's The Good Mother, written by Francine Volpe and directed by Scott Elliott. He joins Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen in the premiere of this new play, replacing the previously announced Bill Sage, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict prior to start of rehearsals. Mark Blum's Broadway credits include Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Twelve Angry Men, A Thousand Clowns, Lost in Yonkers, and more. He has appeared previously at The New Group in Wallace Shawn and Allen Shawn's play/opera The Music Teacher, among others.

The New Group presents the first production in its 2012-2013 season, the world premiere of The Good Mother, a new play by Francine Volpe. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Mark Blum, Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen. Previews begin October 29 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Thursday, November 15 at 7:00pm. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through December 22 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street / Acorn Theatre). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Broadway production designer Derek McLane, who received the 2009 Tony Award for his scenic design for '33 Variations' has been selected by producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron to design the set for the 85th Academy Awards.

The world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, will begin performances at a Shubert theater on Broadway in February 2013. This stage adaption of Capote's classic novella will star Emilia Clarke (HBO's "Game of Thrones") in the iconic role of 'Holly Golightly' and will be directed by Sean Mathias.

The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Cleveland premiere tonight, October 2 through the 14th at PlayhouseSquare as part of the KeyBank Broadway Series.
