Broadway's new musical comedy, Lysistrata Jones, will begin preview performances this Saturday, November 12 at 8:00pm at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street). The cast recording of Lincoln Center Theater's production of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, the new musical based on the film by Pedro Almodóvar, with book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics by David Yazbek and direction by Bartlett Sher, will be released on May 10, 2011 according to Amazon.com. The cast reunited on January 19, to record the original cast recording of the musical, which ended its limited engagement run on Sunday, January 2 at the Belasco Theatre. The CD, to be released by Ghostlight Records and will be produced by David Yazbek and Dean Sharenow with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer.

Following its successful run at The Public Theater, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON will now begin performances on Broadway at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street) on Monday, September 20, 2010 and officially open on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.

The Public Theater, Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, producers of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON are pleased to announce that Tony Award winning producer Norton Herrick as well as Universal Pictures Stage Productions have joined the producing team of the show. BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street) and officially opens on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.

To kickoff the first week of performances of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON and fittingly, the coming election season, producers of the show announce a partnership with ROCK THE VOTE organization in hopes to reach out and remind people to register to vote, especially as the midterm elections approach. As part of this partnership, on Friday, September 24th, volunteers from ROCK THE VOTE will be at the theatre at the beginning and at the end of the show with voter registration sign up sheets. There will be additional show days as well when volunteers will be there.

Ghostlight Records has confirmed a September 21st release date for their Original Cast Recording of The Public Theater's Production of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON. The show will soon move to Broadway (The CD will be released to coincide with previews, which begin September 20 at The Bernard B Jacobs Theatre.)
