Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) has announced the last two productions in its 2014-15 Season: The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley in April 2015 at VYT and Into the Woods in June 2015 at the Herberger Theater Center.

The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, with book by Timothy A. McDonald, lyrics by Timothy A. McDonald & Jonathan K. Waller, music by David Weinstein, Jonathan K. Waller, Timothy A. McDonald & Stephen Gabriel, based on the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, will be directed and choreographed by Rob Winn Anderson at Orlando Shakespeare Theater, tonight, October 23, through November 22, 2014. Stageworks Media will present an industry reading of GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN, a New High School Musical written by Eric Price and directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Set in a prep school, GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN is a modern retelling of the Jane Austin classic Emma, and features a score comprised of contemporary pop songs made famous by female singers, songwriters, and female-led bands. GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN will be presented on Friday, June 20th at 11:00 am at 54Below (254 West 54th Street, NYC).

This significant event, the first salute to Roulette's long history of innovative and experimental programming, will feature six performances by a selection artists whose work truly represents Roulette's unparalleled and unique perspective. Featured artists will be Jen Shyu, Jennifer Choi, Tristan Perich, Darius Jones , Gelsey Bell, and Mario Diaz de Leon, the event will be hosted by highly acclaimed musician and WNYC host, David Garland.

Featured in the cast of Cyrano de Burger Shack are F. Michael Haynie (Wicked) as Cyrano, Julia Mattison (Godspell) as Roxanne, and Michael Campayno (Sound of Music Live) as Christian, as well as Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage aux Folles), Trista Dollison (Avenue Q), Rebecca LaChance (Beautiful), Ellyn Marie Marsh (Kinky Boots), Shina Ann Morris (Cinderella), Jeremy Morse (Papermill's Oliver!), and Alex Wyse (Lysistrata Jones). The music director /arranger is Meg Zervoulis.

Seattle Children's Theatre presents the world-premiere musical, James and the Giant Peach. Just in time for the holidays, Timothy Allen McDonald's wonderful adaptation from Roald Dahl's best seller will include original music by Tony-Award nominated lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
