The Northwestern University Dance Program students will present ?Forward Shift,? a concert that celebrates the completion of the Class of 2009?s dance studies. Performances of the annual spring dance concert will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21; 8 p.m. Friday, May 22; 8 p.m. Saturday, May 23; and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, in the Ballroom of the Marjorie Ward Marshall Dance Center, 10 Arts Circle Drive, on the University?s Evanston campus. The concert is open to the public.

David Parker and the Bang Group, a nationally renowned New York dance company, will visit Northwestern University?s Evanston campus for a weeklong residency April 26 to May 3. The group will be co-hosted by the School of Communication?s Dance Program and the New Movement Project, a student group that organizes campus dance events.

The Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University will continue its 2008-09 season in May with the two remaining Mainstage productions: an adaptation of a Pierre Corneille classic, and a Holocaust drama by Israeli playwright and director Joshua Sobol. It also will present a Wallis Works-In-Progress adaptation of a story by Zimbabwean doctor and celebrated writer J. Nozipo Maraire.

Written by Horton Foote, 'The Trip to Bountiful' is the story of Mrs. Carrie Watts, an elderly woman who wants nothing more than to return home...to Bountiful, the small, Texas town where she grew up. Her overprotective son and boss daughter-in-law want her to remain in Houston, but Mrs. Watts is determined, and once her mind is made up, there's no stopping her. While on the road, she befriends a young traveler, Thelma, whom she entertains with stories of her past.

Here's your chance to find out. 'Kong's Night Out,' a star-studded, new comedy, written and directed by Jack Neary, takes the audience to the night King Kong escaped, but focuses on the farce in the hotel room before the giant ape arrives. There are secret notes, mistaken identities and slamming doors to spare in this perfect escape to the mid-winter blahs.
