William Shatner ('Star Trek,' 'Boston Legal'), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy, Suicide Squad), a Clerks cast reunion that includes writer/director Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Brian O'Halloran, Trevor Fehrman and Jeff Anderson, Carl Weathers ('The Mandalorian,' Rocky), the 'Smallville' trio of Tom Welling, Kristen Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum and 'The Mandalorian' standout Ming-Na Wen are among the first wave of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the first FAN EXPO St. Louis, May 13-15 at America's Center.

The Alley Theatre and Interim Artistic Director James Black, announce the cast and crew of the 2018-19 Season finale production of Ken Ludwig's The Three Musketeers, adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas. Mark Shanahan (Alley's Holmes and Watson, The 39 Steps) returns to direct a cast of 14, which includes Alley Resident Acting Company members, Alley favorites, and artists making their Alley debut. Lincoln Center's American Songbook series doesn't usually cross the road to opera-land, but I'm glad it did, when it presented the Ricky Ian Gordon-Leonard Foglia chamber opera A COFFIN IN EGYPT with mezzo extraordinaire Frederica von Stade last week. Performed in Jazz at Lincoln Center's tiny Appel Room, EGYPT brought us up close and personal to von Stade--and her alter-ego here, 90-year-old Myrtle Bledsoe--and proved she still has “it” as a performer.
