Bill Cain's How to Write a New Book for the Bible: A Play for an Older Actress will have a staged reading March 8 at 7:30 p.m. as part of South Coast Repertory's NewSCRipts series. (Please note that the date has changed since the series was first announced.) Bible is the 111th play to receive a staged reading in SCR's venerable play reading program.

The Landless Theatre Company presents the DC Premiere of High Fidelity - A Musical, based on the Nick Hornby novel. The music is by Tom Kitt, Tony Award winning composer of Next to Normal, with lyrics by Amanda Green and book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Performances take place February 18th - March 14th at the DC Arts Center. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.landlesstheatrecompany.org.

South Coast Repertory tackles science fiction in its latest Theatre for Young Audiences production, an original adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's wildly popular young adult novel, A Wrinkle in Time. SCR Associate Artistic Director John Glore adapted this story of siblings Meg and Charles Wallace Murry, who travel through time to save their father from the dark force of It. Directed by Shelley Butler, Wrinkle runs Feb. 5-27 on the Julianne Argyros stage.

Theatre Southwest will present their production of David Lindsey-Abaire's play, WONDER OF THE WORLD, beginning December 31st with a special New Years Gala. The show will run through January 23rd. Million Dollar Quartet has announces its new Chicago cast: Emmy Award-winning actor David Lago (Elvis Presley), accomplished musician/performer Lance Lipinsky (Jerry Lee Lewis), Chicago musician and actor Gabe Bowling (Carl Perkins), and Jeff Award nominee Sean Sullivan (Johnny Cash). The cast also includes Tim Decker ('Father of Rock 'n' Roll' Sam Phillips) and original Chicago cast members Kelly Lamont (Elvis' girlfriend Dyanne), Billy Shaffer (Fluke/Drummer) and Chuck Zayas (Jay Perkins/Bass). The new cast will begin performances on February 3, 2010.
