New Line Theatre, 'the Bad Boy of Musical Theatre,' will open the company's season of rock theatre in October 2011 with the St. Louis premiere of PASSING STRANGE, the all-black Broadway musical about a young man searching for meaning and authenticity in our contemporary world.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) announced that Tony and Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly will return to Manhattan Theatre Club as Maria Callas in a new Broadway production of Terrence McNally's award-winning play MASTER CLASS directed by Stephen Wadsworth.

Paramount Home Entertainment releases the Dreamworks Animation movie 'Shrek Forever After' on December 7. The DVD will include a special preview of SHREK THE MUSICAL, as well as '12 Days of Christmas' pop-up book, deleted scenes, interactive games and an insider's look at the film.

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Eva Mendes and Jeremy Renner served as presenters and 2011 Spirit Awards host Joel McHale was also on hand.
