Cherry Lane Theatre's award-winning MENTOR PROJECT for emerging playwrights will present its 16th season from February 19 to April 12, 2014 with expanded programming - the addition of a new Director Mentorship -- it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, Founding Artistic Director of Cherry Lane Theatre and co-founder of MENTOR PROJECT. Cherry Lane Theatre is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.

Signature Theatre announced today that tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of David Henry Hwang's new play KUNG FU, directed by Leigh Silverman. The production runs February 4 through March 16, 2014 with a February 24, 2014 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The One-Minute Play Festival and Boston Playwrights' Theatre (Kate Snodgrass, Artistic Director) continue their dynamic partnership with the The 3rd Annual Boston One-Minute Play Festival, with part of the proceeds to benefit BPT's artist residency programming.

Nigel Redden, director of the Lincoln Center Festival, and Rebecca Robertson, President and Executive Producer, Park Avenue Armory, today announced that the two organizations will co-present The Passenger, Mieczyslaw Weinberg's uncompromising 1968 opera about the Holocaust, performed by Houston Grand Opera and directed by David Pountney, in its New York premiere performances July 10, 12 and 13 at Lincoln Center Festival 2014. Pountney's production will have its U.S. premiere on January 18, 2014 at Houston Grand Opera.

The Lark Play Development Center in collaboration with Mexico's National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) is pleased to announce the 2013 Mexico/ U.S. Playwright Exchange Program. For the eighth year the Lark will host playwrights from Mexico and pair them with bilingual U.S. playwrights, actors, and directors for a ten day cultural exploration that establishes ongoing channels of communication between artists in both countries.
