Chicago's Lifeline Theatre continues its 26th anniversary MainStage season with the world premiere adaptation of Ron Hansen's contemporary bestseller MARIETTE IN ECSTASY, adapted by Lifeline ensemble member Christina Calvit, directed by Lifeline ensemble member Elise Kauzlaric.

From the writer of Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo comes a sidesplitting comedy of mistaken identities and harebrained schemes. Theatre at the Center presents the Chicago area premiere of Leading Ladies, running February 19 through March 22 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana.

It's a shame Romance, Romance ends its run at the Vagabond Players on Feb. 8, just six days prior to Valentine's Day. So why not celebrate a little earlier with this quaint little musical by Barry Harman (book and lyrics) and Keith Hermann (music). Director Bill Kamberger continues his magic with not much material with enjoyable choreography by James Biernatowski and musical direction by Michael Tan (soon to tackle Sweeney Todd at the Spotlighters.)

This year, 83 schools from region II of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival staged 210 productions. Of those 210, 68 were nominated to participate at the festival January 14 - 17 at The University of the Arts. Through a blind selection process, nine were selected for staging, and include everything from the classic Shakespeare comedy 'Love's Labour's Lost' to new student-written and directed productions. $10 general admission tickets can be purchased for 45 minutes before the show. Wendy C. Goldberg, Artistic Director of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference (NPC) and Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of the National Music Theater Conference (NMTC), announced the actors cast in their 2008 projects. The actors include a mix of award-winning actors from stage and screen, seasoned O'Neill performers, and new talent.
