FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Is 'Alive & Kicking'; Returns to NYC this Fall with New Edition; Previews Begin July 24th

After a three-year absence, Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY returns to the 47th Street Theatre with a brand new edition, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING. The show, which opens Thursday, September 6, will run for a limited engagement through January 6, 2013. Previews begin on July 24th. This production will mark FORBIDDEN BROADWAY's 30th Anniversary, as well as its 21st edition.

Concerts for City Greens, the free outdoor concert series that brings the sounds of music to the heart of Midtown, kicks off its fifth season on Wednesday May 30 at 6:30pm at Tudor City Greens. (Rain date: Thursday May 31 at 6:30pm.) "…in the spring, becomes The Rose," a salute to Golden Globe winner Amanda McBroom, features these special guests -- the seven-time MAC-winning singer Natalie Douglas; the MAC and Bistro Award winning singer Kevin Dozier, and the singer/songwriter and Broadway music director John DiPinto.

Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents “Hello Again' with music, lyrics and book by John LaChiusa and based on the 1897 play 'La Ronde' by Arthur Schnitzler. The production runs through Feb. 26, in the Emerson Studio Theatre, 130 Edgar Road. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., except Sundays, which presents 2 p.m. matinees only. Admission is $12 for the general public and $6 for senior adults and students. For ticket reservations, call the Fine Arts Hotline at 968-7128.

Playhouse on Park is seeking non-equity actors for the musical, 'All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten', based on the book by Robert Fulghum and directed by Ernest Zulia with music and lyrics by David Caldwell. Rehearsals begin Monday, Jan. 30th and performances will run Wednesday, February 22 - March 11, 2012. Auditions will be held on Monday, December 5th 7:30pm - 9:30pm by appointment.
