Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents the third in a popular series of Blues at the Crossroads concerts tonight, February 7, 2015 with The Soul of the Blues, a musical celebration of songs by Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Booker T. & The M.G.'s, Etta James, Sam & Dave, Bobby Womack, James Brown and others. Performing on the Rene?e and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall stage are 'Soul Queen of New Orleans' Irma Thomas, vocalist Lee Fields, up-and-coming star Alecia Chakour and jazz/funk guitarist Eric Krasno, all backed by The Dynamites.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts welcomes one of today's reigning saxophonists, Maceo Parker, and his unique blend of crowd-pleasing jazz, funk, R&B, soul and hip-hop to Philadelphia for a show guaranteed to get jazz fans up and moving. The Jazz at The Kimmel season continues when Maceo Parker takes center stage at the Merriam Theater tonight, January 17 at 8 p.m. Joining Maceo Parker on stage is Greg Boyer (trombone), Will Boulware (keys), Bruno Speight (guitar), Rodney 'Skeet' Curtis (bass), Rodney Holmes (drums), with vocalists Martha High and Darliene Parker.

DPAC has become one of three finalists of the Billboard Touring Awards for the top venue under 5,000 seats. Other finalists include The Colosseum at Caesars Palace -- Las Vegas which has won the previous three years and Fox Theatre - Atlanta, which has been a finalist in the same category for three years. The winners will be announced live in New York City on November 20, 2014 at the Edison Ballroom where DPAC's Director of Programming for Concerts & Comedy Taki Pappas will be attending, representing DPAC at this significant event.
