The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Xian Zhang announce the Orchestra's classical, pops and family programs for the 2017-18 season, Zhang's second as the Orchestra's critically acclaimed artistic leader. The NJSO brings a diverse range of compelling programs to six venues across the Garden State, with highlights including classical masterworks, a Winter Festival celebrating foreign artists and composers who found creative inspiration on America's welcoming shores, film-with-orchestra presentations of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and music- and comedy-filled performances with Tony Award-winning star Jason Alexander.

Relive the music of a generation when the Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players (cp2) present 'Sounds of Change,' a celebration of music from the 60s and 70s, at City Winery Chicago. From Hendrix to Shostakovich, the transforming world spread its message though the music of the times. As some artists protested against war and tyranny, others broke the molds of established forms. The Chamber Players perform an uplifting, entertaining ode to this rebellious era.

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $30 million in grants as part of the NEA's first major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017.

Trinity Church Wall Street's annual series of concerts in January has long been a highlight of the musical season. Entitled 'Time's Arrow' to allude to Trinity's signature juxtaposition of early and modern music, the 2017 festival (Jan 1-12) celebrates the 250th anniversary of the opening of St. Paul's Chapel, the oldest church building in Manhattan.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts will again be the place for classical music on Los Angeles' Westside when Winter @ The Wallis returns for a second season of exhilarating performances. Tramm will conduct the Morris Choral Society as it opens its 2016-17 season with a holiday themed concert at the Bickford Theater, Morristown, New Jersey on December 10 and 11.th Candles and Carrols will feature works by Caldwell and Ivory, Leavitt, Praetorius, Respighi and Whitacre celebrating over three centuries of inspiring and beloved holiday choral music, essentially chronicling the existence of the Morristown settlement dating back to 1715.
