Chicago Shakespeare Theater kicks off this season'sWorld's Stage Series with Blind Summit's The Table, a production from the United Kingdom, which launches its first United States tour Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare for a limited two-week engagement, tonight, October 16 to 27, 2013.

Three award-winning plays will be broadcast Live in HD from Britain's National Theatre to The Ridgefield Playhouse in October. First up is Othello today, October 15, followed by Macbeth on Monday, the 21st, and Frankenstein on, very fittingly, Thursday, October 31, all at 6:30 p.m. The NTL in HD series brings the best of British theatre live to cinemas worldwide.

According to Deadline, 2013 Tony nominee Bertie Carvel has signed on to star in Danny Boyle's upcoming comedy series, Babylon, alongside Brit Marling and James Nesbitt . The show focuses on 'people and politics in the command rooms and on the frontlines of a modern police force, as it attempts to uphold the peace under constant scrutiny.'

FX Orders WWII Miniseries from SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE Trio

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a 10-epiosde miniseries titled TELEMARK from the SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE Oscar-winning trio, Simon Beaufoy, Danny Boyle, and Christian Colson. Beaufoy wrote the project, with Boyle and Colson set to executive produce.

This imaginative performance introduces audiences to Moses, a cantankerous puppet with a cardboard head immersed in an existential crisis on a table. Known for reinventing puppetry for contemporary adult audiences by drawing from the traditional Japanese Bunraku style, Blind Summit Theatre presents The Table showcasing its radically modern style of puppetry and storytelling. The Table will be performed in the theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare October 16 - 27, 2013.
