FX is bringing WWII to the small screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a 10-epiosde miniseries titled TELEMARK from the SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE Oscar-winning trio, Simon Beaufoy, Danny Boyle, and Christian Colson. Beaufoy wrote the project, with Boyle and Colson set to executive produce.

TELEMARK "is based on the true story of the British-trained Norwegian resistance fighters who sabotaged Hitler's nuclear development program during World War II."

"As we all know, some of the very best narrative fiction ever told is currently Being created as episodic television," Beaufoy said in a statement. "This incredible story is ideally suited to the slower burn and added complexity that the longer format allows, and I can't wait to get my teeth into this."

Boyle said, "This is one of the world's greatest stories, and we want to tell it on an Epic scale."

FX has also ordered a slew of miniseries in recent months, including FARGO and an adaptation of THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS.
