Casting has been announced for the St. Louis engagement of Disney's The Lion King. St. Louis' most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Fabulous Fox Theatre stage from April 19 to May 7. The press opening night isThursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Casting has been announced for the Providence engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. The six-time Tony Award winner triumphantly returns to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited three-week engagement, from Tuesday, February 28 to Sunday, March 19, 2017. 

200 years in the future, the land is ruled by the mighty 'Spotif-Eye', everyone is a freelancer with an inflexible work schedule, and the end of humankind draws near.  The dystopian musical comedy George Orwell never wrote introduces us to three sisters, a hair-obsessed Lieutenant, a mysterious Elder who speaks in song lyrics, and the one algorithmically perfect song that rules them all. Will the sweet sounds of sisterhood ring out and save humanity? Will they ever taste fresh kale juice?  Will the revolution, in fact, be harmonized?

Disney's The Lion King, in all its magic and majesty, roared into San Francisco's Orpheum Theater and will be here now through December 31. If you're one for keeping a bucket list of must-see things to do and see before you 'exit stage left,' then this show is surely one for the list. Directed and loved into being by Julie Taymor, who infuses her creation with rich multicultural beauty, soul-stirring African harmonies and life-sized almost living, breathing animal puppets, Lion King will capture your heart as it surrounds your senses with magic, wonder, awe and grace.

This three-night-only show takes place tonight, August 18th, through the 20th and features brand new, original material created by five local female playwrights specifically created for this performance.

In honor of World Hunger Day on May 28, Sands ECO360° and Sands Cares partnered with local non-profit Three Square Food Bank to hold the second annual "Hunger is Not a Game" food drive, a month-long initiative for team members, that concluded on Monday, June 8.

Yesterday, April 30, 2015, members of the Las Vegas Company of JERSEY BOYS presented Three Square Food Bank with a check to fund 7,000 meals donated to the organization. In celebration of JERSEY BOYS' Four Seasons of Kindness spring initiative and the show's seventh anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip, the Seasons visited the Three Square facilities to present a check to Three Square Food Bank Chief Operating Officer Dan Williams on behalf of the production. The donation serves as a kickoff to a month-long food drive for Three Square taking place this May at Glazier's Food Marketplace, in which the production has challenged the Las Vegas community to match the first 7,000 meals donated.

JW Marriott and Christie's have announced that they will present a pre-sale exhibition of 20 th Century Decorative Arts and Design and Ettore Sottsass: Important Works from a Private Collection during Miami Art Week 2013. With its unique integration of 20 th Century furniture, jewelry, drawings and decorative objects, both collections are truly unparalleled, and feature important works of 20 th Century design by Antoni Gaud, Jean-Michel Frank, Eugene Printz, Jean Royere, Isamu Noguchi, Fernando and Humberto Campana, and Claude Lalanne. The exhibition will be open to the public from daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, December 5 Sunday, December 8.

For the third year, five talented Long Island music students will receive a unique opportunity to study and perform this summer at Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts. The program was developed by Usdan Center in 2011 and supported with a charitable grant from Bethpage Federal Credit Union. The Usdan Center/Bethpage Scholars in the Arts program gives accomplished students who otherwise couldn't attend Usdan, the opportunity to study at the country's largest not-for-profit summer arts day camp. The students were chosen for their fine musicianship and for their achievements as outstanding representatives of their communities.
