The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company presents the first New York revival of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa. The show officially opens tonight, February 26th at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Ghostlight Records will release the original cast album of the world premiere musical THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE on March 24.

The course of love definitely does NOT run smooth when William Shakespeare's family-friendly comedy 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' plays on the Clarence Brown Theatre Mainstage tonight, February 19 through March 8, 2015. An Open Captioned performance will take place on Sunday, February 22 at 2:00 pm.

On March 9th at 8 pm at SubCulture soprano Kate Baldwin, violinist Victoria Paterson and composer Georgia Stitt will reunite to perform "Alphabet City Cycle." Originally recorded in 2009, the song cycle with lyrics by Marcy Heisler consists of five songs about women alone in New York City.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Brandy Clark along with Grammy Award-winner Shane McAnally have written the score for the highly anticipated new musical Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical. Lovingly (and loosely) inspired by the classic TV series, it will get its eagerly awaited World Premiere this fall at Dallas Theater Center. As part of the Alley Theatre's inaugural season in its renovated downtown building, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan's All The Way, a co-production with Dallas Theatre Center, will be performed in the new Hubbard Theatre. Members of the Alley's Resident Company will join with members of the Dallas Theater Center to create this monumental play about Lyndon B. Johnson's early days in office, rehearsing and performing in Houston in January 2016 and travelling to Dallas for a second run in March 2016.

Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical, a new musical comedy lovingly (and loosely) inspired by the classic TV series, will get the Broadway treatment when it has its eagerly awaited World Premiere this fall at Dallas Theater Center. The musical, which had a much-buzzed-about industry reading in September, features a score by multi-Award winning artists Brandy Clark (a 2015 Grammy Award nominee for Best New Artist) and Grammy Award-winner Shane McAnally, two of country music's hottest new singer/songwriters. With a book by Robert Horn, direction by Gary Griffin and choreography by Denis Jones and musical supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Tony and Grammy Award-winner Stephen Oremus, Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical begins performances at Dallas Center Theatre on September 2, 2015, where it runs through October 11, 2015.

DALLAS (SMU) February 3, 2015 -- The Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University has announced the recipients of its sixth annual Meadows Prize arts residency: the Detroit-based artist collective Complex Movements and Lear deBessonet, the director of The Public Theater's Public Works program in New York City. The Meadows Prize is awarded to pioneering artists and creative professionals who are active in one or more disciplines represented by the academic units within the Meadows School.

The Public Theater announced the line-up today for the 2015 FREE Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 53-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Since 1962, over five million people have enjoyed more than 150 free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joe Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's free Shakespeare in the Park continues to be the bedrock of the Company's mission to increase access and engage the community. This summer, free Shakespeare in the Park will feature Shakespeare's late romances with THE TEMPEST (May 27-July 5), directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, and CYMBELINE (July 27-August 23), directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan.
