The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.

Connie Britton has been cast to play Beth Ailes, the wife of late Fox News chief Roger Ailes, in the upcoming Fox News drama film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ahead of the premiere on Sunday, November 25 at 10 PM ET/PT, Bravo has made the entire first episode of 'Dirty John' available for a pre-linear preview on YouTube, BravoTV.com, VOD and the Bravo App.

This January, Oxygen Media, the destination for high-quality crime programming, will premiere a two-hour documentary, “Dirty John, The Dirty Truth.” A companion to Bravo's scripted anthology, the special goes beyond the articles and podcasts made famous by Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, and traces con-man John Meehan's trail of manipulation that started long before he met Debra Newell. Through the eyes of the real people he deceived, the documentary takes a deep dive into his troubled past, his altercations with law enforcement, and features exclusive interviews with former girlfriends who speak out for the very first time. 

Variety says Judd Apatow, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lilly Singh and Olga Kay (among other stars) will participate in a get-out-the-vote streaming comedy special dubbed 'Telethon for America.' The stream will go out on the evening of November 5th, one day before the Midterm elections.

Vulture today announced the lineup for its second annual Vulture Festival Los Angeles Presented by AT&T, a weekend of high-profile events bringing the entertainment site to life, and an expansion of the pop-culture extravaganza that has taken place in New York City for the last five years. Vulture Festival Los Angeles's lineup includes actors in conversation, exclusive screenings, cast reunions, live podcasts, a comedy show, table reads, a private museum tour, and more, taking place November 17–18, primarily at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles, with select events at other venues. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Office of the City Council will honor Sanford Meisner and The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre will be recognized with a Proclamation in honor of their 90th Anniversary. The Proclamation will be presented by NYC Council Member Ben Kallos at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre (340 East 54th Street) on Thursday, October 18th at 2 pm.

Today, hundreds of women and allies came out to Los Angeles City Hall in solidarity with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and survivors across the country for a 'Believe Survivors. STOP Kavanaugh Rally.' Park City Institute will close out the 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series, Sunday September 2, with Nashville Cafe, an evening of country music, completing the concert series' season at City Park. The show will feature music performed by three stars of CMT's hit musical drama series Nashville, Chris Carmack, Chip Esten and Sam Palladio. The show begins at 6:00 P.M., and gates open at 4:30 P.M.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced today the presenters for the HFPA's Annual Grants Banquet, taking place at The Beverly Hilton on Aug. 9. Presenters will include Alfonso Cuaron, Alfre Woodard, Amber Heard, Charlize Theron, Chris Messina, Christian Slater, Cody Fern, Connie Britton, Cynthia Erivo, Jason Reitman, Jennifer Garner, Joey King, John Cho, John David Washington, Lena Waithe, Nia Long, Rami Malek, Regina King, and Steve Carell. The event marks the biggest charitable evening of the year for the HFPA as the organization makes donations and awards grants, amounting to more than $30 million over the past 25 years.
