The Public Theater last night presented the one-night-only Public Theater annual gala ONE THRILLING COMBINATION at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Ted Sperling, the gala event celebrated Marvin Hamlisch, The Public Theater and the 40th anniversary of the creation of A Chorus Line. Performers incuded: John Lithgow, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Zachary Quinto, Martha Plimpton, Billy Porter, Jonathan Groff, Sutton Foster, Joshua Bell, Lindsay Mendez, Claybourne Elder,Krysta Rodriguez, Marissa McGowan, Laura Shoop, Peter Dugan, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Jessica Wu, Mylinda Hull,Brooke Sunny Moriber, Nicole Lewis and more! The Drama League continues the Summer 2014 Programming Schedule with the ever popular 'Up Close' Series featuring Broadway veterans Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Kate Wetherhead, co-creators of the online web series, 'Submissions Only,' who will be joined by members of the cast on Monday, June 30, 2014 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas).

In the season finale, another month has passed and 'Jeremy's Fort' is now closed, allowing Penny (Kate Wetherhead) to explore her career options . Agnes (Marilyn Sokol) delivers some news to Tim (Colin Hanlon) and Gail (Lindsay Nicole Chambers), who later attend the presentation of Vincent Savio's (Nehal Joshi) 'Light Me Up!' reading. Despite their best efforts, not even Tim (Colin Hanlon) or her parents (Beth Leavel and Rick Elice) can lift her out of her funk. Meanwhile, Steven (Stephen Bienskie) and Cameron (Max von Essen) make slow but steady progress in planning an engagement party, and Vincent Savio (Nehal Joshi) is brought face to face with the 'nobodies' promised by Gail (Lindsay Nicole Chmabers) in the first round of auditions for the 'Light Me Up' workshop. Just last night, 'Submissions Only' co-creators Kate Wetherhead and Andrew Keenan-Bolger celebrated the songs of their hit web series at 54 Below. Under the music direction of Michael Croiter, the Submissions Only House Band, along with a number of exciting guest stars, performed a selection of music from all three seasons of the show, including original songs like 'Two Cents,' 'Wrong Spot' and 'Nobody Does Mean Like Me.'

The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two are teaming up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composers Joshua Saltzman & Ryan Cunningham contines the series on Monday, May 19, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street).
