Ballroom dance champion and Broadway actress Victoria Regan, who has been cast in the leading role of the famous aging Russian ballerina Grushinkskaya in Grand Hotel at TheatreZone next month, still dances on her tiptoes.

Yale will pay tribute to alumnus composer and lyricist Cole Porter (B.A. 1913) on the centennial of his graduation from the University by presenting his popular musical 'Kiss Me, Kate' in a concert version with an all-Yale cast and crew. Porter's riff on Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew' will have two performances on Saturday, Jan. 19, at University Theater, 222 York St., at 2 and 8 p.m. For ticket information, see below.

Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble, one of New York's longest-running experimental theatres, will stage a winter theater comedy tradition A Mummers' Play: Prince George and the Dragon. Previews are set for tonight, Dec. 20, 2012; Friday Dec. 21, 2012; and Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 all at 7:30 p.m. There is no performance on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. Opening night is Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 and the closing performance is on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has announced the four-show line-up for its Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series featuring the music works of legendary Broadway writers Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse and two by George S. Kaufman. The roster of Broadway musicals include Two by Two (February 15-17, 2013), Hollywood Pinafore (March 1-3, 2013), Happy Hunting (March 15-17, 2013), and Silk Stockings (March 22-24, 2013) at The York Theatre Company at its home in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Casting will be announced at a later date.
