Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick, Managing Director Jeff Griffin and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced complete casting today for their upcoming production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET, starring acclaimed actor Peter Sarsgaard as Hamlet, and directed by Austin Pendleton.

The Old Globe will present a one-night-only free event, Barry Edelstein In Conversation with Carey Perloff, on Sunday, March 15 at 4:00 p.m.

Coming next to Ithaca's Kitchen Theatre Company is A Body Of Water, a mystery about family and memory by Lee Blessing. A Body Of Water opens for previews tonight, February 18 and runs at Kitchen Theatre Company through March 8 before transferring to the Geva Theatre Center in Rochester. The Old Globe will present a one-night-only event, Barry Edelstein In Conversation with Nathan Englander, tonight, Feb. 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. This special discussion will reunite Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and award-winning playwright and novelist Nathan Englander, whose play The Twenty-seventh Man, about a group of writers imprisoned in Soviet Russia under mysterious circumstances, makes its West Coast premiere at The Old Globe in February, directed once again by Edelstein. The event will explore the evolution of the play; its fascinating historical setting; Englander's work in fiction versus theatre; and literature's place in modern American culture.

Little Lord presents BAMBIF*CKER/KAFFEEHAUS at The Brick Mar. 5 - 21 and continues the company's exploration into the Jewish / Queer / Experimental / Fun / Campy arts.

The next Revelation Reading, Euripides' HIPPOLYTOS, directed by Ted Pappas with Olympia Dukakis, Laila Robins, Robert Cuccioli, Clifton Duncan, Gina Daniels, Phillipe Bowgen, Catherine Gowl, Lara Hillier, January LaVoy, Deanne Lorette, Bhavesh Patel, Jean Tafler, and Edward James Hyland, will take place Monday, February 16th at Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street.

The Old Globe's West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, will now play an extra week of performances -- through March 22 -- due to ticket demand for the originally announced run. Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ("Barney Miller," The Rothschilds) leads a cast of Broadway and Globe veterans including Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, and Lowell Byers. The Twenty-seventh Man will run February 14 through March 22 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run February 14-18. Opening night is Thursday, February 19 at 8:00 p.m.

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook continues to expand its scope in celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. Just last night, three-time Tony Award nominee Judy Kuhn returned to American Songbook with a new show celebrating the work of three generations of this extraordinary songwriting family. Under the musical direction of Todd Almond, the evening included classic favorites as well as rarely-heard songs. Ms. Kuhn returns to the concert stage after a critically lauded year during which she starred as Fosca in the first New York revival of Passion at Classic Stage Company and in the Public Theater's new musical Fun Home. She will reprise her Lucille Lortel Award-winning Fun Home role on Broadway in the spring of 2015.

Workshop presentations begin today, February 5, for the Broadway-bound musical Somewhere in Time, based on the novel by renowned author Richard Matheson (I Am Legend, What Dreams May Come) and the subsequent hit film starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour and Christopher Plummer.

Tony Award-winning actor and clown Bill Irwin opens Philadelphia Theatre Company's new Theatre Masters Series on February 16 at 7:00 PM at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Irwin will be joined in his conversation by arts consultant and former Executive Director of the American Theatre Wing Howard Sherman.

Dixon Place presents a one-night-only concert reading of the road-trip musical comedy Murphy's Law with book, music, and lyrics by Andy Nagraj and Jonathan Spivey tonight, Feburary 5th at 7:30 PM on the Main Stage. Broadway regulars Aaron Galligan-Stierle and Johnny Kinnaird along with Helen Hayes Award Winner Diana Huey are among the six-person cast.

Continuing the successful partnership between Artistic Director Michael Kahn and Venus in Fur playwright David Ives, the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) presents The Metromaniacs, the third installment in Ives's series of rediscovered French comedy masterpieces.

59E59 Theaters welcomes Mary J. Davis and MBL Productions with C.O.A.L. (Confessions of a Liar), written by David Brian Colbert and directed by Craig Baldwin. C.O.A.L. (Confessions of a Liar) begins performances on Thursday, March 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 22. Press opening is Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday & Saturday at 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick, Managing Director Jeff Griffin and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today that its production of Ivan Turgenev's A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, starring Peter Dinklage and Taylor Schilling, will extend through Saturday, February 28 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). The production had been schedules to close February 22. Directed by Erica Schmidt, the cast also includes Peter Appel, Ian Etheridge, Anthony Edwards, Mike Faist, Elizabeth Franz, James Joseph O'Neil, Elizabeth Ramos, Thomas Jay Ryan, Annabella Sciorra, Frank Van Putten, Megan West and Kate Wetherhead.
