Direct from Bahia in northern Brazil comes this stunning 25-member troupe, Bale Folclorico da Bahia - known for its explosive drumming, passionate dancing and boundless energy. Its display of Bahian folkloric dances of African origin was described as a 'non-stop extravaganza' by the San Francisco Chronicle. Morrow, Charles Ives Take Me Home runs now through December 15, 2013 in City Theatre's Hamburg Studio, with an Opening Night performance on Friday, November 15 at 8pm.

Ensemble 212 presents Sonorous Strings: Orchestra Concert, the second show of its 2013-14 season tonight, November 13th at 8pm. Representative of a true kaleidoscope of styles, the evening will feature music of the Baroque and Romantic eras as well as that of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Legendary Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress, singer, and recording artist Leslie Uggams will take part in the First Grade Theatre Study program at P.S. 212 (Midtown West School at 328 W 48th Street) on Monday, November 18 at 1 p.m. The Study, part of the school's social studies curriculum, was started by Kindergarten/First Grade Teacher Bryan Andes as a way to introduce students to the bustling theater community in which they live.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the ninth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Joel Grey on Monday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

The Flea Theater invites you to the World Premiere of FAMILY FURNITURE by A.R. Gurney. It is directed by Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail (In The Heights) starring Carolyn McCormick (Law & Order), Peter Scolari (Girls, Newhart, Bosom Buddies), and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) with newcomers Ismenia Mendes and Molly Nordin. Performances run tonight, November 12 - December 22 at The Flea (41 White Street between Church and Broadway in Tribeca).

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will produce, in association with La Jolla Playhouse, a re-imagining of Henry Krieger and Bill Russell's Side Show. Directed by Academy Award winning director Bill Condon, the musical will play at La Jolla Playhouse now through December 17 and will open at the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater in spring 2014. New York Live Arts will present The Barnard Project, now in its ninth year, November 21 - 23 at 7:30pm and November 23 at 2:00pm. This year's performance will showcase works by 2013-14 Barnard Project artists Boyzie Cekwana, Lance Gries, Annie-B Parson and Donna Uchizono.

It's back - the funny, smart, and irreverent musical Nerds! Philadelphia Theatre Company revisits the musical satire Nerds with book and lyrics by Jordan Allen-Dutton and Erik Weiner, music by Hal Goldberg, and a brand new cast and creative team. Directed by Casey Hushion with choreography by Joshua Bergasse, the ensemble features Stanley Bahorek, Matt Bradley, Briana Carlson-Goodman, Benny Elledge, Lexy Fridell, Raymond J. Lee, Alyse Alan Louis, Robert Morrison, Kevin Pariseau, Catherine Ricafort, and Blake Segal.

On November 15, 16 and 17, Megan Hilty, the multi-talented star of NBC's Smash and Sean Saves the World, will take the Houston Symphony stage to pay special tribute to the tunes made famous by stars like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and Dolly Parton. Along with vocalist Aaron Lazar, Hilty will perform cherished songs like "The Lady is a Tramp," "The Best is Yet to Come" and "9 to 5." The show wouldn't be complete without beloved classics "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "New York, New York," as well as popular songs of Cole Porter, Harold Arlen and music from Ms. Hilty's upcoming album.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA by Amanda Peet, directed by MTC's award-winning artistic director Lynne Meadow is currently in previews at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).
