From May 22 - June 1, 2014 Houston Ballet offers up a mixed repertory program showcasing works by three of the twentieth century's greatest choreographers entitled Modern Masters. The program features the company premiere of Jir?i? Kylia?n's comic and delightful Sechs Ta?nze (Six Dances), along with revivals of his playful and sexy work Petite Mort, William Forsythe's explosive In the middle, somewhat elevated and George Balanchine's complex and inventive The Four Temperaments. Houston Ballet will give six performances of the program in the Brown Theater at Wortham Theater Center. Recently partnering with the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center Foundation, Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth recently focused her philanthropy efforts to support fine arts and community relations in Broken Arrow, establishing the Kristin Chenoweth Fund for Arts and Education. Her first venture for the program was to help raise money for Broken Arrow Public Schools students to receive the opportunity of a lifetime. More than 200 fine arts students just travelled to New York City to share their talents with the world at the legendary Carnegie Hall.

Kairos Italy Theater to Hold 2nd In Scena! Italian Theater Festival, 6/9-24

Kairos Italy Theater, the preeminent Italian theater company in NYC, will present its second In Scena! Italian Theater Festival (www.inscenany.com) in all five boroughs from June 9 to 24, 2014. The event will feature six full productions and four readings. Production highlights include 'Hanno tutti ragione' (Everybody's Right), performed by Iaia Forte, a leading actress in Paolo Sorrentino's film 'The Great Beauty' (Best Foreign Language Film, 2014 Academy Awards). The play is based on a book by Sorrentino. Other programming highlights include a series of plays and readings dealing with soccer, celebrating the 2014 Soccer World Cup.

New York Live Arts announces the 2014 Theater Access Program - a comprehensive rental program that provides performance space and resources to a diverse group of self-producing artists of all disciplines. TimeLine Theatre Company concludes its 2013-14 season with the Chicago premiere of the musical JUNO, book by Joseph Stein, music and lyrics by Marc Blitzstein, based on the play JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK by Sean O'Casey, directed by TimeLine Associate Artistic Director Nick Bowling with music direction by Doug Peck and Elizabeth Doran. JUNO will run at TimeLine Theatre, 615 W. Wellington Avenue in Chicago, tonight, May 1 - July 27, 2014. Press opening is Friday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Century21 Heading to Philadelphia

The department store Century 21, where you can always find a great bargain on designer items, is opening in Philadelphia. This will be the first time the company will open outside the New York market.
