The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced today the Nominating Committee for the 2014-2015 Broadway season. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Ballet Hispanico, recognized as the nation's leading Latino dance organization since 1970, will perform at Guild Hall on June 14, 2014 at 8pm. Highlights of the program include a Celia Cruz-inspired work by Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro and Sortijas by dynamic and groundbreaking Spanish choreographer Cayetano Soto. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced that Tony Award winner Levi Kreis (Million Dollar Quartet) will join the company of Violet as 'The Preacher,' beginning performances Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Violet stars two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, Colin Donnell, Alexander Gemignani and Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry. The Tony nominated production plays a strictly limited engagement at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street) through August 10, 2014.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of THE LION, the new musical written and performed by 2013 ASCAP Cole Porter Songwriting Award winner Benjamin Scheuer, and directed by Sean Daniels, begins performances tonight, June 10 at The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street). The five-week limited engagement for THE LION will open Thursday, June 26.

Jay Records, with the support of The Kurt Weill Foundation, digitally released the first complete recording of composer Kurt Weill and lyricist Ogden Nash's score to the 1943 musical ONE TOUCH OF VENUS on October 7, 2013, and the sterling recording had its physical CD release on May 13, 2014. Originally announced over ten years ago, fans eagerly anticipated the album for years. Luckily for us listeners, the recording was well worth the wait.

Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas (MTT) and the San Francisco Symphony (SFS) will release a new live recording of the first-ever concert performances of Leonard Bernstein's complete score for the musical West Side Story featuring a stellar Broadway cast including Cheyenne Jackson and Alexandra Silber, and the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, today, June 10, 2014.

Cheyenne Jackson has starred on both 30 Rock opposite Tina Fey and Glee where he played the voice coach for the group Vocal Adrenaline, and will next be seen starring opposite Gena Rowlands in the feature film "Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks" releasing in theaters in early 2014.
