On Swirled World, their new release, produced by Two-time Independent Music Awards Winner Kenny Siegal (Langhorne Slim & The Law, Chris Whitley, Spottiswoode & His Enemies), frontman Chris Rael's ever-evolving musical palette effortlessly crosses genres (world, rock, pop, folk, classical) and is as fertile and explosive as ever. For its 2015-16 season, The Drawing Center has developed two multi-evening events for its newly renovated galleries that demonstrate the institution's increased focus on the intersections between drawing, sound, and performance-based art. Billy Martin and String Noise (Conrad Harris and Pauline Kim) will curate the two Drawing Sound performances in July and September of 2015, respectively.

Directed by Chelsea Haberlin, the work is set in a dystopian corporate future where 'climbing the company ladder' entails gladiatorial combat to the death.

Today REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts and culture, announces its Fall 2012 events and previews major projects scheduled for early 2013. The wide-ranging program introduces Los Angeles audiences to influential artists and ensembles from around the world who are blurring traditional artistic boundaries and developing new forms.
