The Philipstown Depot Theatre has announced the continuation of their popular Cabaret in the Country series with a full season of shows. 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Broadway favorites Ann Morrison ('Merrily We Roll Along'), Pamela Myers ('Company') & Chip Zien ('Into The Woods') in 'SONDHEIM ORIGINALS - OLD FRIENDS' this weekend, January 16 & 17, 2015. These three original Sondheim cast members share songs and stories, recalling their experiences creating their roles in these landmark musicals on Broadway. The show is conceived and directed by Grammy and Emmy Award winner, John McDaniel, as part of his second season as artistic director of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's Cabaret and Performance conference.

Stephen Sondheim displays his work of whimsy and intellectual legerdemain on Into The Woods, and Masterworks Broadway has just pulled new photos from the MWB vault featuring Bernadette Peters, Chip Zien, Joanna Gleason and others from the original Broadway cast recording session. It Shoulda Been You producers Daryl Roth, Scott Landis, Jane Bergere and Jayne Baron Sherman announced today that Tony Award nominee Montego Glover (Memphis), Josh Grisetti (Peter and the Starcatcher), Michael X. Martin (The Bridges of Madison County), Anne L. Nathan (Once), Nick Spangler (Book of Mormon) and Chip Zien (Into the Woods) will join the cast of the new musical comedy, directed by David Hyde Pierce. They join previously announced stars Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess, David Burtka, Lisa Howard, and Edward Hibbert, forming a blissful marriage of theatrical luminaries.

The highly anticipated film INTO THE WOODS had its premiere last night, December 8th at New York's City's Ziegfeld Theatre. The film hits theaters on December 25th, is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.
