Word for Word's 2019 fall season features three events beginning in September with the premiere of an atmospheric production of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's legendary Rime of the Ancient Mariner running September 20- Oct 12 at the ZSpace mainstage.

Word for Word and Z Space will stage an immersive production of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's legendary Rime of the Ancient Mariner with a press night of Saturday September 21 at 8pm running through October 12 (Previews Sept 11-15, 18-20) . Rime of the Ancient Mariner is to be directed by Jim Cave and Delia MacDougall with a cast that features Nathaniel Andalis, Lucas Brandt, Robert Ernst*, Darryl V. Jones, Leontyne Mbele-Mbong*, Earl Paus, Charles Shaw Robinson and Patricia Silver*. (*member AEA)
Cal Shakes to Close 41st Main Stage Season with KING LEAR

California Shakespeare Theater concludes its 2015 Main Stage season with King Lear, Shakespeare's most brilliant and profound tragedy, helmed by nationally-acclaimed director Amanda Dehnert, and featuring two-time Tony nominee and film star Anthony Heald (Silence of the Lambs, Broadway's The Elephant Man with Bradley Cooper) in the title role. King Lear plays at the BART-accessible Bruns Amphitheater from September 16 through October 11.

The San Francisco Playhouse (Bill English, Artistic Director; Susi Damilano, Producing Director) completes its fifth season of the Sandbox Series of new plays with the world premiere of Rhett Rossi's From Red to Black. Susi Damilano will direct. Patti LuPone Set to Play 'Moll' in THE CRADLE WILL ROCK Benefit Concert for The Acting Company, 5/19

Patti LuPone steps back into the role that led to her 1985 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical as Moll in The Cradle Will Rock on Monday, May 19, 7pm at Broadway's Bernard Jacobs Theatre, 242 West 45th Street. The concert staging of Marc Blitzstein's iconic work will benefit The Acting Company, co-founded by John Houseman, Cradle's original producer in 1937, who directed Ms. LuPone and a cast of Acting Company Alumni in a revival almost 50 years later. Lonny Price (Lincoln Center's Sweeney Todd and Company) will direct; Michael Barrett (Caramoor, NY Festival of Song) will again serve as musical director and play the score as he did in the 1980's production. Tickets will go on sale next month; information on benefit tickets including dinner with Ms. LuPone and the cast is available from 212-258-3111.

Marin Theatre Company will close their run of Equivocation May 2. Bay Area theater lovers will have the rare chance to see the Bay Area premiere of Bill Cain's dazzling new play EQUIVOCATION at Marin Theatre Company (MTC) next spring concurrent with its Off-Broadway premiere at Manhattan Theatre Club (also known as MTC).
