Cygnet Theatre Returns to Holiday Classic with A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Cygnet Theatre will continue its ten-year tradition of presenting a holiday show suitable for all ages. This season welcomes the return of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Adapted by Sean Murray with original score by Billy Thompson, this production is a re-imagined take on the original holiday classic featuring lively music, unique puppets and live sound effects. The fully staged production runsNovember 22 - December 24 at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Opening Night for Media is Saturday, November 26th at 8:00pm.

Sergei Danilian to Present ARDANI 25 DANCE GALA at New York City Center

Instead of the usual gala fare -- bits of firecracker variations and pieces of ballet classics -- Sergei Danilian's 'Ardani 25 Dance Gala' at New York City Center, August 19 and 20, is classic Danilian. The intrepid impresario, who has never side-stepped risk, will celebrate Ardani Artists's quarter century of producing in the United States and abroad with a trio of U.S. premieres, two by young, unknown, but up-and-coming Russian choreographers, and one by American Ballet Theatre principal Marcelo Gomes.

In light of their 10th anniversary, Dance Parade celebrated and launched its Decade of Dance campaign with a "Taste of Dance Parade" performances featuring ensembles and groups representing a wide variety of dance genres and cultures. Cygnet Theatre is pleased to announce a Concert Staged-Reading of the Tony Award-winning musical EVITA, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Cygnet Theatre to Launch 13th Season with DOGFIGHT

Cygnet Theatre will kick off its 13th season in July as director Sean Murray mounts the San Diego Premiere of Dogfight, a romantic and comic musical adaptation of the 1991 movie with River Phoenix and Lili Taylor. Winner of the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical in 2013, Dogfight represents the new generation of voices in musical theatre creation. The production runs July 16 - August 23. Opening night for media is July 25.
