Laguna Playhouse presents the second show of their 2012-2013 season, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning hilarious, action-packed comedy, THE 39 STEPS, adapted by Patrick Barlow (based on the Alfred Hitchcock film) and directed by Kevin Bigger. The cast of THE 39 STEPS will feature Dan Fenaughty, Larissa Klinger, Nicholas Wilder and Toby Shaw.

The Laguna Playhouse welcomes back Rita Rudner, one of the country's top comediennes, for an exclusive three-day stand-up engagement, aptly titled Rita Rudner: Act 3, tonight, August 24 - Sunday, August 26, 2012. Performance times are 7 p.m. each evening.

The producer, ASCOLS, LLC, have set the opening for 7pm, August 5th (that same night), 50 years to the day, that Marilyn Monroe died.

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, has extended the run of the world premiere of Dr. Ruth, All The Way by Mark St. Germain, directed by Julianne Boyd. Starring stage, film and television actress Debra Jo Rupp (That 70s Show), Dr. Ruth, All the Way will now run from June 19 through July 21 at St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2) at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield. Opening Night is Saturday, June 30 at 8pm.

On June 10, 2012, The Actor's Fund will present its 16th Annual Tony Awards party at the Skirball Center, this year honoring Jason Alexander with the Julie Harris Award for Lifetime Achievement.. Scott Bakula will host the gala and this year's Honorary Celebrity Committee includes: Julie Bowen, Nancy Dussault, Dann Florek, Elliott Gould, Steve Guttenberg, Garry Marshall, Chita Rivera, Susan Sarandon, Holland Taylor and Zachary Quinto. The event includes cocktails and a silent auction followed by ainner and a live telecast of a live feed of the Tony Awards as they happen in New York.

Theater for the New City presents SATAN'S WHORE: VICTORIA WOODHULL, written by Richard Geha, through April 8, 2012. Lissa Moira directs this post-Civil War, period drama about the sexual liberationist Victoria Woodhull. Don Garverick choreographs, with set design by David Mansley and lighting design by William Giraldo.
