DLC Summer Stage's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat opened last week to rave reviews! In a statement from Andrew L. Baughman of Maryland Theatre Guide, accolades are given to the show: 'Thank goodness that Director Jason Kimmell and The Drama Learning Center of Columbia have finally given Joseph the type of production it deserves.'

The Night of a Thousand Gowns celebrating the LGBT community - the colorful cross-dressing segment of that community -took place on Saturday, March 26 in New York City. In its twenty-five year history, the Court has donated over a million dollars to worthy LGBT, HIV/AIDS and youth enrichment related causes. This year the Night of a Thousand Gowns expects 1,000 attendees to raise important funds for the Ali Forney Center and the Trevor Project.

Pride Films & Plays (PFP) announces the five screenplays with GLBT themes or characters that have been named finalists in the first Great Gay Screenplay Contest. The five screenplays will be performed as staged readings during the Great Gay Screenplay Weekend, Saturday, Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 21 at 3 p.m., at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted Street.

The original off-Broadway cast of the musical FIVE COURSE LOVE (Minetta Lane Theatre, 2005) went into the studios on January 9th and 10th in New York City to record the show's cast album. FIVE COURSE LOVE, with book, music and lyrics by Gregg Coffin, tells the story of five entangled encounters with love in five different restaurants. The scores varied musical styles reflect the cuisines of the different eateries: Country & Western, Italian, German cabaret, Mexican and 50's Doo Wop.
