Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) launches its ONE Brooklyn Community MTA Campaign for the 3rd year on September 12 with Many Voices, Many Stories, a public service poster campaign seen on 36 Brooklyn subway stations featuring Carla Hall of ABC's The Chew, Chris Hayes of MSNBC's All In with Chris Hayes and a diverse group of Brooklyn notables speaking out about Brooklynites who are living in poverty and the impact of volunteering, advocacy and philanthropy to make a positive difference. Sponsored by Investors Bank, ONE Brooklyn Community Many Voices, Many Stories will be on view through October 12th.

The festival explores the constant vitality of live performance in New York City through contemporary artists from diverse genres, cultures and perspectives. Featuring work created locally, across the U.S., and around the world, Coil is known for its groundbreaking contemporary performance across interdisciplinary art, working with new technologies and forms. NYC Premiere of Bobbi Jene Smith's HARROWING Set for 3/17-18

The American dancer and choreographer Bobbi Jene Smith, having returned to New York City after a decade in Israel performing with Batsheva Dance Company, will offer the NYC premiere of her stirring work Harrowing, as part of Chez Bushwick's 2Night Show March, curated by Celia Rowlson-Hall. She will perform the duet with David Harvey, March 17 & 18, 7:30pm, at Center for Performance Research (aka CPR, 361 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211).
