ARSENIC AND OLD LACE Opens Season at Hackmatack Playhouse on 6/20

"Arsenic and Old Lace" was one of the longest running Broadway plays. The movie adaptation starred Cary Grant. It was written in 1939 by American playwright Joseph Kesselring. But it's more recent history of revivals locally, in the quaint Berwick, Maine barn playhouse known as The Hackmatack, may spark interest among seacoast area play goers.
Bergen County Players to Close 81st Season with MY FAVORITE WIFE, 6/7-8

The Bergen County Players (BCP) closes its highly successful 2013-2014 season with a presentation of 'My Favorite Wife' - a Players Radio Theatre Production. Under the direction of Jerry Hurley, 'My Favorite Wife' will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell on Saturday, June 7th at 8:00 PM and Sunday, June 8th at 2:00 PM, and both performances are close to a sellout. Remaining tickets are just $10 and can be purchased online at www.bcplayers.org, by calling 201-261-4200 or by visiting the box office at 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell during regular box office hours.

SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS, written by Richard Alfieri, with choreography by Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) and directed by Michael Arabian (Waiting for Godot). SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS will also feature 6-time Ovation Award-winning actor David Engel. The old stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood will be shining at the Covey Center for the Arts on March 28th and 29th as a new play about the life of Jimmy Stewart performs on their main stage. Jimmy Stewart Goes to Hollywood, written by national Kennedy Center award winning playwright Mahonri Stewart, and directed by Utah theatre veteran Scott Bronson, is being produced by Zion Theatre Company at the Covey, marking the first time the group has been produced at one of Utah County's most prominent theaters.
