Arsenic and Old Lace is a play by American playwright Joseph Kesselring, written in 1939. It has become best known through the film adaptation starring Cary Grant and directed by Frank Capra. The play is a farcical black comedy revolving around Mortimer Brewster, a drama critic who must deal with his crazy, homicidal family and local police in Brooklyn, NY, as he debates whether to go through with his recent promise to marry the woman he loves.

The Pasadena Playhouse, in association with David Shor Productions, presents SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - THE MUSICAL. Performances for the world premiere presentation began May 24 and run through today, June 23. The musical celebrated its official press opening on Sunday, June 2, 2013.

The 43rd annual CAPA Summer Movie Series at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) begins June 28, featuring 27 films over eight weeks. The series opens with Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief (June 28-30) starring Cary Grant as the reformed cat burglar searching for a copycat thief while romancing Grace Kelly who is vacationing in the sunny French Riviera.
