On Monday, October 4, 2010, Tony Award winning actress and Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez and Emmy award winning television personality and the evening's host Carson Kressley, were joined by a host of Broadway stars for an intimate evening to celebrate Broadway Takes the Runway - an evening of fashion and song. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation, which honors the close friend of Ramirez and Kressley, who was lost to liver cancer in 2008. Most people will remember Carson Kressley from television's 'Queer Eye For The Straight Guy'. He was the more outrageous of the so-called Fab Five and was the show's fashion guru. Talking to him on the phone proved that he's not exactly like that. At least not nowadays. He proved to be genial, intelligent and much more of a sweetheart than anyone would expect from his television image. He was eager to chat about his background, his stage acting and his participation in 'Broadway Takes The Runway' which takes place on October 4th.

The Ogunquit Playhouse will present The Drowsy Chaperone from June 9 through June 26, 2010 starring Bravo's Carson Kressley as the Man in Chair and The Mary Tyler Moore Show's Gloria Engel as Mrs. Tottendale, the role she created for the original Broadway production. This new musical comedy was the darling of the Tony Awards, winning the most statues in 2006, including Best Sets and Costumes - the very same sets and costumes will be featured in the Ogunquit Production. Broadway veteran Liz Larsen also joins the cast as the Drowsy Chaperone.
