Fat Violet Theater is thrilled to announce the NYC premiere of Ronan Noone's THE COMPASS ROSE, directed by David Sullivan. Part of 1st Irish, THE COMPASS ROSE begins performances on Thursday, September 12 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 29. Press Opening is Monday September 16 at 7 PM. USA Network is launching Evan's Campaign Chronicles, the new interactive webisode series for ROYAL PAINS, which includes the first-ever musical number directed by Paulo Costanzo, who plays Evan R. Lawson. The five-episode series follows Evan on his journey to claim a seat on the Hamptons Village Council - a theme that is also explored on-air in the series' fifth season. Independent Spirit Award winning producer Susan Johnson of BRAVEART FILMS will make her feature directorial debut backed by veteran producers Suzanne Farwell and Susan Cartsonis with an adaptation of critically acclaimed novel Carrie Pilby by Caren Lissner. Farwell is the long-time collaborator of Nancy Meyers and Co-Producer of SOMETHING?S GOTTA GIVE and Executive Producer of THE HOLIDAY and IT?S COMPLICATED, and Cartsonis is Producer of WHAT WOMEN WANT, WHERE THE HEART IS, AQUAMARINE, BEASTLY and Executive Producer of NO RESERVATIONS. The three filmmakers met a decade ago during the production of WHAT WOMEN WANT. The team has now launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to make the independent film in 2014. Kickstarter has become a life-saving platform for independent filmmakers, and this campaign will be Johnson?s third following two successful campaigns last year.

Beginning in July 2013, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's The Hollow during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series. Under the direction of Gregory Boyd, the Alley's resident company of actors will bring to life the colorful cast of characters in Agatha Christie's The Hollow.

The Dallas Opera has announced that Broadway legend and Drama Desk and Tony Award-winning director, producer, playwright, and lyricist Jack O'Brien has been engaged to direct the company's world premiere production of GREAT SCOTT, a new, full-length opera by acclaimed American composer Jake Heggie (Moby-Dick) and the Tony Award-winning playwright/librettist Terrence McNally (Master Class) in their first joint opera since their groundbreaking masterpiece, Dead Man Walking.
