Birdland Jazz Club has announced its September 2016 schedule, featuring CHARLIE PARKER'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!, John Pizzarelli, Ron Carter Big Band, Steve Kuhn Trio, Renee Rosnes, ShowBiz After Hours with Frank DiLella, The Cookers, Coltrane Revisited, Natalie Douglas, Barbara Carroll, Julie Halston, Jim Caruso's Cast Party and more.

You've been preparing for this audition for weeks. Your monologue and 16 bars have been rehearsed to perfection; your headshot and resume impeccable. You feel as if the role is practically yours--all you have to do is walk into the audition room and take it. Then, right before your audition, the nerves hit. Your heart races. Your mind spins, thinking up all kinds of scenarios in which your audition can go terribly wrong. This hinders your performance. You leave frustrated and unsatisfied. 

The first-ever Broadway production of HOLIDAY INN, THE NEW Irving BerlinMUSICAL starring Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, Lora Lee Gayer, Tony Award nominee Megan Lawrence, Megan Sikora, with Corbin Bleu and Tony Award nominee Lee Wilkof, will be directed by Gordon Greenberg and choreographed by Denis Jones. 

The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016' - a lunchtime series that continued this week, August 4 on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11.

This Thursday's show included a performance by the Broadway-bound cast of Holiday Inn. Cast members for the event included,  Corbin Bleu, Lora Lee Gayer, Megan Lawrence and Bryce Pinkham performing the numbers, 'Cheek to Cheek', 'Shaking the Blues Away', and 'Blue Skies.'

The first-ever Broadway production of HOLIDAY INN, THE NEW Irving Berlin MUSICAL starring Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, Lora Lee Gayer, Tony Award nominee Megan Lawrence, Megan Sikora, with Corbin Bleu and Tony Award nominee Lee Wilkof, will be directed by Gordon Greenberg and choreographed by Denis Jones. Today's big news: The cast of SHE LOVES ME celebrates their album release at Barnes & Noble, marquees will be dimmed on Broadway, in the West End and in Chicago in memory of James M. Nederlander, and the company of HOLIDAY INN meets the press, so stay tuned for coverage!
