Joe's Pub at The Public has announced that Tori Scott's new show Plan B! - a shameless musical journey of slurred autobiographical stories and songs written by other people- will be taped live at the venue for Scott's upcoming Plan B! album. The R&B calendar heats up at Joe's Pub! Highlights include Labelle founding member Sarah Dash on May 12; the soulfully-voiced and hard-rocking singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Celisse Henderson on May 31; Australian singer Cloves (Kaity Dunstan) on June 1; the Peterson Brothers, a modern blend of blues rock from 20-year-old Glenn and 17-year-old Alex Peterson, on June 2; a fundraiser for The Restorative Center with Stephanie McKay on June 15; soul powerhouse gina Breedlove on June 20; Alfa Anderson's album release party for her solo debut, From My Heart, on July 7; and, the relentlessly energetic JJ Thames & The Violet ReVOLT on August 8.

Come celebrate the long Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-29) at Joe's Pub! Highlights include the latest chapter from Joe's Pub favorite Justin Vivian Bond on May 26, 27, 28 and 29; Elisa Monte Dance's After Dark with live mixing by Twelve45 on May 26 and 27; Hello Taiwan, an annual showcase introducing some of Taiwan's up-and-coming stars to American audiences, featuring Sean Huang, Gina Can, Biung and Treya on May 27; contemporary Yiddish band Nikitov, fronted by Niki Jacobs, on May 28; and, Portuguese collaborators Renato Diz and Maria Quintanilla on May 29.

This year's star-studded Orchard Project Gala, A TASTE OF SOMETHING NEW, a star-studded celebration of the best of the new - from new food to new work - is set for May 1 at the Diamond Horseshoe in midtown Manhattan. The event, raising funds to expand Orchard Project's programming, will also honor acclaimed playwright, screenwriter, and Exchange Board Member Robert Schenkkan.

Star of Mercury Fur, G.B.F., and MTV's The Hard Times Of RJ Berger, Paul Iacono stars along with the underground personalities of Downtown New York in the world premiere of his musical-cabaret epic, PSYCHEDELIC PLAYHOUSE at The Green Room 42 , Thursday, May 4th & Friday, May 5th 8:00pm.

This Spring, Joe's Pub at The Public is headquarters for flamenco and flamenco-inspired artists. The acclaimed Flamenco Festival's New York edition returns, from March 10-18, with their Flamenco & Beyond series, featuring Josemi Carmona & Javier Colina, Alfonso Aroca, Sonia Olla & Ismael Fernandez and Ultra High Flamenco. Then, from April 17-27, Joe's Pub favorites, the dazzling Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca, return for their annual weeklong residency with a new show called Intimo.

Just last night, MCC Theater presented their annual Miscast gala, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of MCC Theater.
