InterAct Theatre Company continues its long-time relationship with Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-nominated playwright, Lee Blessing, by producing the World Premiere his latest drama, WHEN WE GO UPON THE SEA, which begins performances Friday, April 9, and has its official Opening Night on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. WHEN WE GO UPON THE SEA takes aim at an American populace that has grown strikingly complacent in the wake of extraordinary global challenges, exposing one of the world's most intriguing and influential conflicts: the battle between the elected leader of the free world and a democracy of millions.
TAKE Dance Presents Two Programs at DTW, 5/19-5/22

TAKE Dance, a contemporary dance ensemble known for its effortless fusion of Eastern and Western sensibilities led by artistic director and choreographer Takehiro Ueyama, presents two programs exploring poetic and visceral human connections to nature. All performances will feature the World Premiere of Flight, set to music by artists including Ana Milosavljevic, Terry Riley, Aleksandra Vrebalov, Philip Glass, Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and choreographed by Takehiro Ueyama.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults continues its 2009-2010 season with John Knowles' A Separate Peace, adapted by Nancy Gilsenan and directed by Jonathan Berry. The production, featuring ensemble member Alan Wilder with Will Allan, Chance Bone, Jake Cohen, Curtis M. Jackson, Damir Konjicija and Govind Kumar, runs February 23 - March 19, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St. Weekday matinees (Tuesdays - Fridays) are reserved for school groups, with Saturday and Sunday performances available to the public.
