Following a successful launch at the New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF) in 2010, Artists WithOut Limits (AWOL) Theatre Project, Inc. announces the second annual presentation of 8Minute Musicals, a program that challenges emerging musical theatre writers and composers to create 8 original 8-minute musicals in just two weeks. An impressive collection of theatrical talents are strategically placed into teams and given a common theme as inspiration for their work. The freshly-inked pieces are fully staged, briefly rehearsed, then presented to the public on Monday, March 14 at the TBG Theatre.

34th Annual Spoleto Festival USA Ends on a High Note

Spoleto Festival USA 2010 came to a close on Sunday with strong attendance at the Festival Finale at Middleton Place. Despite temperatures soaring in the upper 90s, more than 3,000 people attended the annual event, which featured a Carolina Chocolate Drops concert followed by fireworks over the historic Ashley River plantation.

First time Vail Jazz Festival attendees can stay 3 nights at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, the host hotel for the Festival; 2 nights are absolutely free. First Timer Patron Pass holders will only pay for 1 night at the group rate of $109 (a bargain rate!) and the second and third nights are absolutely free. Blyth Festival Artistic Director Eric Coates has announced major casting for the 2010 summer season. This year's acting company includes a number of past Blythe Festival actors, as well as new. The Blyth Festival summer season runs June 23 to September 4, 2010.

NT Live Hits Dublin; Broadcasts Beale & Shaw-Led LONDON ASSURANCE, 6/28

Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival and the Irish Film Institute have joined forces to bring NT Live to Dublin. On June 28th at 6:45PM, the IFI will feature live via satellite the National Theatre's production of Irish playwright Dion Boucicault's LONDON ASSURANCE, starring Fiona Shaw and Simon Russell Beale, in the fourth screening at the IFI from the NT Live series. NT Live is an initiative to broadcast live performances of National Theatre plays onto cinema screens around the world.
