This past Sunday, May 18th, the sold out audience at the first NY revival of William Inge's A LOSS OF ROSES included Inge's nephew, James A. Mahan, as well as Mahan's children and grandchildren. They joined the cast onstage afterwards for a full family & company portrait. On behalf of the family, James Mahan's daughter Sandra wrote the following to the production the next day: 'A heartfelt thank you for having us! We so enjoyed the play and meeting the cast. Clearly everyone involved with this production put much heartfelt energy into it. Your theater has such a very warm and inviting feel which we embraced!'

TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS today announced their 2014 North American tour and the July 29th release of their first new studio album in four years on Reprise Records, Hypnotic Eye. The tour, featuring very special guest Steve Winwood, will begin in San Diego, CA on August 3rd. The tour includes already announced headline performances at San Francisco's Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and at the Lockn' Festival in Arrington, VA. On Labor Day weekend, for the first time ever, the band will also perform at Boston's Fenway Park.

The Segal Centre for Performing Arts will present the World Yiddish premiere of Soul Doctor: Journey of a Rock Star Rabbi, the new bio-musical based on the life of the controversial father of popular Jewish music, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. The Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre presents the Yiddish version of the 2013 Broadway bio-musical written by Daniel S. Wise with lyrics by David Schechter from June 8 to June 29, 2014. Presented in Yiddish with English and French supertitles.

Rock and Roll icon Ronnie Spector's critically acclaimed Beyond The Beehive is set to return to Bridge Street Live in Collinsville, CT on May 31st at 8:00pm. The 90 minute multi-media production chronicles Ronnie's fascinating 50 year journey through Rock and Roll with stories, video and still images, as well as upwards of 16 live songs backed by her full band. John McDaniel, Artistic Director of the MAC Directors Award winning Cabaret and Performance Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, announced that applications for the Cabaret Fellows Program will be accepted until Friday, May 23. The Conference brings some of the biggest names in Cabaret Theater to perform at the O'Neill each summer, providing valuable development and performance training for up-and-coming performers on the cabaret scene.

The Eisemann Center and the City of Richardson announced the 2014-2015 Season of Eisemann Center Presents (ECP) at the Annual Season Preview Party on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The season will include the popular Theatre Comedy Series with four productions and 23 performances; the Methodist Richardson Family Theatre Series with five productions and Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations with a total of four concerts. In addition, there are eight MainStage Shows featuring a diverse mix of programming and artistic disciplines. Some of the more popular productions and artists from the past twelve years are returning to join the season - Mandy Patinkin, Steve Solomon, the Paul Taylor Dance Company and The Church Basement Ladies. They will be joined by some outstanding new artists and shows for the Eisemann Center, including Ben Vereen, Darlene Love, Dennis DeYoung, Arlo Guthrie, Taylor Mac, Andrea McArdle, Faith Prince, Donna McKechnie, and Maureen McGovern.
