Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside and American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, are proud to announce the first production in American Blues Theater's 'Legends and Legacies' season, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, by Randal Myler and Mark Harelik, directed by Damon Kiely, music director Malcolm Ruhl and starring Matt Brumlow as 'Hank Williams,' tonight, August 30 - October 6, at the Greenhouse Theater Center's Downstage Mainstage Theater, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave.

Horton Foote's The Old Friends, directed by Michael Wilson runs now through October 6, 2013 with a September 12 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Signature's Betty Buckley-Led THE OLD FRIENDS Extends Through 10/6

Signature Theatre is pleased to announce a one-week extension for the World Premiere of Horton Foote's THE OLD FRIENDS,directed by Michael Wilson. The production will now play through Sunday, October 6. Now in previews, THE OLD FRIENDS will open September 12 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9thand 10th Avenues). Limited $25 subsidized tickets remain for the production's initial run. Tickets during the extension week are $75 each.

Release Party for Diana Sheehan's 'Nobody's Hart' Set for Today

Amphibian Stage Productions and Diana Sheehan today announced a party celebrating the release of Ms. Sheehan's first CD,Nobody's Hart: Diana Sheehan Sings the Lyrics of Lorenz Hart, which will take place today, August 24 at Rebecca Low Sculptural Metal Gallery and Studio in Fort Worth. The party will feature a live performance of selections from the CD by Ms. Sheehan, accompanied by James McQuillen on piano and Sarah Choi on cello.

The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, will host a special free talkback following the performance on Wednesday evening, August 14th. Focusing on the creative process of THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, this one-night only event will feature stars VANESSA WILLIAMS, CUBA GOODING JR, TOM WOPAT and ADEPERO ODUYE and will be moderated by writer and critic, CARYN JAMES. All ticket holders for the evening performance on August 14th are invited to stay for the talkback. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL talkback series kicked off last week with a panel featuring Betty Buckley, Ellen Burstyn, and Hallie Foote as they discussed the appeal and challenges of appearing in a Horton Foote play.

The legendary Betty Buckley went backstage last night at the Music Box Theatre to visit fellow actress Tovah Feldshuh, who's currently subbing for Andrea Martin as 'Berthe' in the Tony-winning revival of PIPPIN. Along with the photo below, Buckley posted to her Instagram: 'Tovah Feldshuh & me after her fabulous performance on the trapeze as Berthe in 'Pippin'. Note Tovah's 'guns'. Second time to see the show. I love it so!'
