George Street Playhouse announced today that its recent Annual Gala Benefit was the most successful in the event's history, raising a record amount of funds in support of its mainstage and educational programming. The Gala took place at The Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick on Sunday, April 2, 2017, and featured many stars of the stage and screen as presenters and performers. Award-winning indie feature DETOURS will get a Black Friday release on Amazon Prime, as the movie debuts on Friday November 25. Richard Kind (Inside Out), Michael Cerveris (TONY award winner for Fun Home on Broadway), and Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas) join stars Tara Westwood (Surviving Family) and Carlo Fiorletta (Available: A Modern Day Fairy Tale) in this road-trip dramedy.

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Rob Urbinati's Mama's Boy, which runs October 18 through November 6 at the New Brunswick theatre. Betsy Aidem (Broadway's All the Way, GSP's God of Carnage) stars as Marguerite Oswald, the headstrong mother of Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Michael Goldsmith (TV's Doctor Who, Gotham).
