New York has forced this Ohio gal to grow up in the business, but it hasn't darkened her truly nice spirit. She may not carry headshots developed in her high school darkroom in her purse anymore, but this sweet girl knows the difference between being sexy verses sexual, is self aware, and will continue to love learning; because that is what makes her strong (and also Body by Simone).

Sponsored in part by AARP and the Cultural Alliance Creative Impact Award, this program encourages active participation in the arts where participants learn and experiment with theatrical techniques to tell stories, create plot and characters, build friendships and laugh!
Eric Sciotto Will Step in as Shakespeare in SOMETHING ROTTEN!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, SOMETHING ROTTEN!'s current cod-piece clad Shakespeare -- Will Chase -- will depart the show on October 9, and will be replaced temporarily by understudy Eric Sciotto. Sciotto will assume the role through October 23. A permanent replacement has not yet been announced.

The first annual Broadway Bee, featuring Paige Davis (Chicago), Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland), Tony winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten), and Jose Llana (The King and I) took place just last night at The Cutting Room (44 E. 32nd St). Proceeds benefit Broadway Bound Kids, a NYC performing arts education organization.
Ten teams, each representing a Broadway show, were encouraged to pull out all the stops to correctly spell the words. The more funds each team raised, the more they were allowed to cheat!
