Written by Monique Witt and directed by Mike Williams, it features Alex Montaldo as the jaded scion of a wealthy industrialist. The young man has been paralyzed in an accident while climbing Everest and finds himself , as the play opens, wheel-chair bound and forgotten in an ER on the edge of El Barrio. A lethal fire has overwhelmed the emergency staff and left the less urgent cases to fend for themselves while waiting to be treated. As he waits with an asthma patient from Spanish Harlem and an older woman, the three pass the hours by playing cards and trading barbed anecdotes. Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) will open its 10th Anniversary Season with a new production of Shakespeare's universal and timeless love story Romeo & Juliet tonight, October 2 - November 3, 2013

Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) will open its 10th Anniversary Season with a new production of Shakespeare's universal and timeless love story Romeo & Juliet October 2 - November 3, 2013 (press performance October 5 at 8pm) at The Strand Theatre, 543 Columbia Road in Dorchester. Co-directed by ASP Resident Acting Company member Bobbie Steinbach and ASP Artistic Director Allyn Burrows, Romeo & Juliet will focus on fate of the two young lovers as it rests on the dramatic intersection of intransigence, revenge, and the clash of generations.

Lyons and Pakchar are a new contemporary writing duo blending Pop/R&B for the Theatre. Their debut album #LOVE, which explores the good, bad, and awkward roller coasters in human relationships, will be recorded live in concert tonight, Monday, August 19th at The Cutting Room at 8pm.

Tonight, July 29th at 10pm NYC will get Exposed. The Cutting Room will host a night of music and poetry exposing some of NYC's best unknown and established performers. The concert is a platform encouraging these artists to display their original work to the public without apology.

The book was a hit when published years ago, and THE CHOSEN on stage is no less wonderful in this adaptation written and directed by Aaron Posner. With a first rate cast at Barrington Stage, this tale of two fathers and their sons is both gripping theatre and food for thought.
