Modern audiences were given the opportunity to see the powerful messages of Wedekind's play - set in the late 19th century - juxtaposed with a manic, brilliant rock score by Duncan Sheik and equally impactful lyrics and a book by Steven Slater to create the recipient of 2007's Tony Award for Best Musical. Brought to life by The Argyle Theatre, Long Island fans of the show and those who missed it on Broadway have the chance to see this important work. 

Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the cast of the world premiere of THE DOUBLE-THREAT TRIO written by Adam Overett February 15, 2019 April 28, 2019 at the CLO Cabaret. THE DOUBLE-THREAT TRIO is the third musical to be given a world premiere from Pittsburgh CLO's inaugural SPARK festival, which developed musicals designed to cultivate the next generation of small-cast shows that will continue on in similar venues around the country. Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart, Indecent) announced today that Patricia Kalember ("Power," "Sisters," "thirtysomething") will put on the aviator glasses of iconic activist Gloria Steinem in GLORIA: A Life beginning Tuesday, January 29. Christine Lahti will play her final performance as Gloria on January 27.

David R. Jimenez, President of the Board of Directors of Hartford Stage, announces that OBIE Award-winning director Melia Bensussen has been named the next Artistic Director of the Tony Award-winning theatre. She will assume the role in June.

Pinch 'N Ouch Theatre opens its 10-year anniversary season with the Tony Award-winning rock musical, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, written by John Cameron Mitchell and music by Stephen Trask. Pinch 'N Ouch Theatre's Producing Artistic Director, Grant McGowen will direct Atlanta native Chad Darnell in the role of 'Hedwig,' an East German genderqueer "internationally ignored song stylist." McGowen most recently directed THIS IS OUR YOUTH, FOOL FOR LOVE and WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF at Pinch 'N' Ouch Theatre. "This show is a beast of a show and I'm so excited to bring her to back to Atlanta," said Darnell who previously played the role at the Bay Street Theatre in Savannah, GA in January 2018.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a free community event on Thursday, December 20 at 7 pm. Goodspeed Musicals announces the full cast of their new production of A Connecticut Christmas Carol - the musical treat infused with more Connecticut flavor by LJ Fecho and Michael O'Flaherty.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will welcome back the "undie rock" sensation THE SKIVVIES with a special "Halloween Hootenanny" on Wednesday, October 31 at 10:30 PM. The duo made up of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley will welcome special guests from Broadway and beyond including Lesli Margherita, Alice Ripley, Ellyn Marie Marsh, Dan DeLuca, Rebecca Faulkenberry, Isaac Cole Powell, Vasthy Mompoint, Tamika Lawrence, Diana Huey and Conor Ryan.
