y of Ventura continues the company's 16th Not Your Typical Season with the WORLD PREMIERE of Conviction, produced in association with Dead Posh Productions, Bay Street Theatre, and the Royal Manitoba Theatre. Written by Carey Crim (Resident Artist at The Purple Rose) and directed by Scott Schwartz (Jane Eyre and Golda's Balcony on Broadway/Bat Boy and Murder for Two Off-Broadway), Conviction follows the story of a teacher accused of a crime he may or may not have committed and the impact that accusation has on his relationships with close family and friends, each of whom having different perspectives on what happened. It is always exciting to say 'I saw the world premiere'. You will have such an opportunity if you catch the hilarious new musical My Life Is A Musical by Adam Overett running through August 31st at Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theatre. It is still in its early stages, but the enthusiastic reception seems to indicate that tickets may be in short supply as the production continues its run. (more...)

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Ernest Abuba, Joel de la Fuente, Tsering Dorjee, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Takemi Kitamura, James Saito, Jon Norman Schneider, and Nami Yamamoto will comprise the cast of its upcoming production of Sarah Ruhl's new play THE OLDEST BOY. Writers, producers and theater companies are welcome to submit new musicals for consideration in the developmental series. Non members may submit to the TRU Voices New Musicals Series (completed musicals only) for a $25 fee. Tom Dugan's WIESENTHAL to Begin Performances 10/24 at Theatre Row

Tony Award winner Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart) and Karyl Lynn Burns (The Best is Yet to Come) present the New York premiere of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan and directed by Jenny Sullivan.
