'NCIS: Los Angeles' star and Broadway veteran Barrett Foa (Mamma Mia!, Avenue Q, ...Spelling Bee) will begin performances as Alex More in the smash hit comedy Buyer & Cellar on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street). For the past five seasons, Barrett Foa has co-starred opposite LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell as tech geek Eric Beale on CBS' top-rated hit series 'NCIS: Los Angeles' which is currently the #2 show on television. Seaglass Theatre to Present West Coast Premiere of WAKE at Fremont Theatre Center, 4/26-5/25

WAKE, written by New York-based Carey Crim, will have its west coast premiere presented by LA's critically acclaimed SeaGlass Theatre company Saturday, April 26 through Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the beautiful Fremont Centre Theatre in South Pasadena, CA, it was announced today by Ovation nominated actor and SeaGlass Theatre Managing Director Paul Stroili, along with SeaGlass Artistic Director Kimberly Van Luin. Steinbeck Festival Runs 5/1-4 at Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theatre has announced its Second Annual Steinbeck Festival in Sag Harbor on May 1-4, in conjunction with the annual celebration held by the National Steinbeck Center based in Salinas, California. Activities to honor John Steinbeck's contributions to our community will feature events including 3 days of films, a VIP waterfront cocktail party where guests will enjoy short boat excursions to view Steinbeck's home from the water, and the Second Annual 'Travels with Charley' Dog Walk on Sunday, May 4 at 11 a.m., in partnership with the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. Jill Rappaport, an award-winning animal advocate and correspondent for NBC News and the TODAY show, will serve as celebrity host at both the cocktail party and the Dog Walk. Proceeds benefit Bay Street Theatre and 10% of the Dog Walk proceeds will go to the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. The all-inclusive FESTIVAL VIP PASS for the weekend is $150. Participation in the Dog Walk is $35. A film-only pass is available for $30 and individual films are $10 each. (more...)

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Alan Ayckbourn's science fiction comedy Communicating Doors. Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre.
