Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at Oakes Center in Summit, presents the cabaret I Believe in Music: Songs of the 70s on Friday, October 28 through Sunday, October 30.

The American Music Awards, the world's biggest fan-voted award show, announced today the “2016 American Music Awards” nominees with recording artists Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten revealing six categories of nominees live on ABC's “Good Morning America.” Immediately following the broadcast, five additional categories were announced in real time exclusively via Snapchat (TheAMAs).  ABC News then livestreamed the remaining 17 categories and included a recap of all nominees in the 11 previously announced categories.  (See the full list of nominees below).  The “2016 American Music Awards” will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20 at 8:00pm ET on ABC.   

Leona Lewis will sing her final 'Memory' today, before her time with Cats becomes just that. After taking on the role of Grizabella after pop star Nicole Scherzinger decided to depart the revival in favor of being a judge on The X Factor, Lewis joined the production in time for the Broadway transfer, which opened July 31st. She will be succeeded in the role of The Glamour Cat by her understudy, Mamie Parris, who begins performances as Grizabella on October 17th.

Abingdon Theatre Company will present two world-premiere plays and a new musical in the June Havoc Theatre as part of its 2016-2017 Season of new works by established and emerging writers, marking the first full season programmed by Artistic Director Tony Speciale.

Carnegie Hall today announced the all-star lineup for A Night of Inspiration, an evening of spiritually uplifting music on Tuesday, December 6 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Under the direction of multi-faceted producer, composer, and music director Ray Chew, the special guest artists will include Yolanda Adams, Dionne Warwick, Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin, Richard Smallwood, Cantor Azi Schwartz, and singers from the New Faith Church from Cape Town, South Africa.
