Tony-nominated Broadway actress Loretta Ables Sayre is scheduled to make her Blue Note debut in Waikiki on Nov. 14 with shows at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Ables Sayre's performances will feature jazz standard selections from the Great American Songbook. Joining Loretta will be Hawaii-based musicians Jim Howard on piano, Dean Taba on bass and Darryl Pellegrini on drums.

Beginning tonight, November 4, 2016, the Royal Shakespeare Company's acclaimed production of Shakespeare's King Lear will play in select movie houses across North America.

The Old Globe today announced the remaining productions in its 2017 Summer Season, including a brand-new comedy, Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, and a Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup featuring Robert Sean Leonard in the title role of the towering history play Richard II, directed by Erica Schmidt. Continuing their commitment to building the theatre going community of tomorrow, the Tricycle Theatre announces the launch of Mapping Brent, a brand new initiative that will see six new theatre companies created - five for young people, and a sixth for all ages. This unique project will see the Tricycle work on a weekly basis with 6 satellite venues across its home borough of Brent in a bid to engage communities and participants - many of whom have not previously engaged in arts - on their 'home turf'.

Though only 38 years old, British actor Benedict Cumberbatch has already amassed an impressive list of credits on stage, on television, and on the big screen. Though he has yet to grace a Broadway stage, I have a feeling that that is just an eventuality as his popularity continues to skyrocket on this side of the Atlantic. Today we are taking a look at his career from the British stage in 'Hedda Gabler,' 'After the Dance,' and 'Frankenstein' to his work on film in '12 Years a Slave,' 'August: Osage County,' and 'Star Trek: Into Darkness,' to his iconic work on TV as the 'high-functioning sociopath' titular character on the BBC's 'Sherlock,' for which he is nominated a second time, in addition to his 2013 nomination for HBO's 'Parade's End.'

Full casting is announced today for the UK premiere of the hit Off Broadway musical ADDING MACHINE: A MUSICAL, composed by Joshua Schmidt, with libretto by Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt, and based on the classic play by Elmer Rice. Josh Seymour directs Joseph Alessi (Mr Zero), Kate Milner-Evans (Mrs Zero), Joanna Kirkland (Daisy Dorothea Devore) and Edd Campbell Bird (Shrdlu), with James Dinsmore (Mr One and as cast), Helen Walsh (Mrs One and as cast), George Rae (Mr Two and as cast), and Sue Appleby (Mrs Two and as cast). The production opens at the Finborough Theatre on Wednesday 28 September 2016 (Press Nights: Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October 2016 at 7.30pm).

The Shakespeare Revue, a comic concoction of hilarious sketches and show-stopping numbers written by comedy icons Victoria Wood, Alan Bennett, Maureen Lipman, Monty Python, Noel Coward, Cole Porter, Fry & Laurie and musical theatre favourites, Stephen Sondheim, Stiles & Drewe and many more, returns to the stage with a UK tour as part of the nationwide celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.
